The walking tour reveals important places of black culture and history, such as the neighborhood of Liberdade, in addition to highlighting such figure as the writer Carolina Maria de Jesus, the lawyer and journalist Luiz Gama and the architect Joaquim Pinto de Oliveira, Tebas. The current african migration, the local black music (samba rock, samba, funk and rap) and the modern black movements are also highlighted. After all, São Paulo is the city with the largest black population in Brazil and we need to (re) tell our story.

Tourism is a choice, a business, a consumer product, culture, money, knowledge and can also be etnic too. There is a purpose in what I do: To encourage black people to travel to move on and to discover more about our culture and history. We want to be welcome; we want to have the right to go and back to tradicional tourism, but we want to visit places where our narratives are present. Be welcome to enjoy us and strengthen afro tourism. We want to see more black people travelling, more black travel, more appreciation of black culture and more roads to be traveled for all people!
We are Guia Negro, plataform of afrotourism!
